The plot
Anna Bolena is the story of Anne Boleyn, the mother of Queen Elizabeth I. She is the second wife of Henry VIII, who discarded her in favor of a new lover, Jane Seymour. It’s an opera about power, passion, honor and vulnerability with fatal consequences, in an already unbridled era.
