Dominique Vleeshouwers is among the Netherlands’ best known percussionists. He joins conductor Elim Chan in a performance of Percussion Concerto No. 2 by the contemporary Scottish composer James MacMillan. Tchaikovsky’s lyrical Symphony No. 5 provides a suitably romantic contrast.
