Due to a muscle injury Truls Mørk has had to cancel this concert. He will be replaced by Ivan Karizna.

 

The talented cellist Ivan Karizna plays Dvořák's much-loved Cello Concerto. Conductor Markus Poschner leads the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra in Tod und Verklärung by R. Strauss and Fires by the contemporary Lithuanian composer Šerkšnytè.

It takes great pleasure in welcoming and developing new musical talent. Lorenzo Viotti is appointed chief conductor of the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra is led by artistic leader Gordan Nicolić.
