If they are to play at the highest possible standard, our musicians need the best possible instruments. Many of our string players use valuable 18th and 19th century instruments, often on loan from the Dutch Musical Instruments Foundation (NMF). The orchestra provides larger instruments which cannot (reasonably) be carried by the musicians themselves. They include double basses, harps, tympani and other percussion instruments, and the larger or more unusual brass instruments, all of which are owned by NedPhO|NKO. Musical instruments require maintenance and must eventually be replaced. With your help, we can ensure that our musicians have the necessary ‘tools of the trade’.
You can make a contribution by transferring any amount to NL82 RABO 0168 7506 43, quoting ‘Instrument Fund’.
