The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra|Netherlands Chamber Orchestra is one of the most versatile cultural organizations in our country, responsible for concerts and opera productions of the very highest artistic quality. We provide the orchestra for the majority of the Dutch National Opera’s productions, and are one of the resident orchestras at the Royal Concertgebouw, Amsterdam. Each year, our performances are attended by some 190,000 people. The organization is located in the NedPhO Koepel in Amsterdam.

String players have a permanent position with one or the other orchestra. Woodwing, timpanistst, percussionists and harpists play for the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and for the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, according to the requirements of the operas or concert works to be performed.
