David Peralta Alegre (born 1972) was born in Madrid and has lived in the Netherlands since 2000.

He studied in Barcelona and Vienna, where he received his soloist diploma with Maighread McCrann. He has been leader of the second violins of the Netherlands Philharmonic since 2008. He previously held this position from 2006 to 2008 in the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra. David has played as principal or concertmaster in many international and national orchestras, including the Gelders Orchestra, the Philharmonie of Antwerp, Holland Symfonia, The Ballet Orchestra, La Orquesta de la Ciudad Granada, the Vallés Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Mediterranean.
David has been with the Conservatory of Amsterdam since 2014 as a violin teacher for the Master of Orchestral Performance. He also teaches regularly with the National Youth Orchestra of Spain (JONDE). In 2015, David was artistic director of the Academia Sarasate in Pamplona, Spain, where he developed and led a pedagogical project for young musicians in collaboration with the Symphony Orchestra of Navarre. From 2007 to 2014, David was business and artistic director of the international summer course for string instruments “Verano Musical” in Spain. Together with pianist Ana Sánchez Donate, he has recorded Joaquín Turina's complete works for violin and piano for the Verso label.
In addition, David is active in the field of social media. He gives lectures, courses and advice on contemporary applications of communication 2.0 using social media in the world of classical music.
