Recent and upcoming highlights for Dumitru Mîțu include Boris Godunov at Dutch National Opera, Madama Butterfly at the Estonian and Bucharest National Operas, Die tote Stadt in Bergen, Carmen with Wiener Opernsommer, and the Festive Holiday Concert with the Netherlands Philharmonic.

Future engagements include debuts at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Tiroler Festspiele Erl, and Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège, as well as a return to Dutch National Opera.

At the Bucharest National Opera, he has sung Eugene Onegin (Lensky), La traviata (Alfredo), and Madama Butterfly (Pinkerton). Other appearances include Carmen at the Latvian National Opera and Iolanta in Chișinău. His concert work includes Stabat Mater at the Berliner Philharmonie.

A graduate of the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts in Chișinău and former Bolshoi Young Artist, Mîțu has been a soloist with the National Opera and Ballet Theatre “Maria Bieșu” since 2017. He won 3rd Prize at Neue Stimmen 2022 and the Emmerich Smola Förderpreis in 2023.
