American soprano Heidi Stober, praised by Opera News as “a distinctly American lyric soprano that makes the rest of the world listen,” enjoys an acclaimed international career.

In the 2025/26 season, she returns to the Metropolitan Opera as Musetta ( La bohème ), debuts the title role in Strauss’ Daphne with Seattle Opera, and appears in concert with the Dresden Philharmonic, Music of the Baroque, and on tour with the New Japan Philharmonic. In 2024/25, she debuted at Covent Garden as Gretel, sang leading roles with Deutsche Oper Berlin, Semperoper Dresden, and English National Opera, and performed with the San Francisco Symphony under Esa-Pekka Salonen. A Wisconsin native and alumna of Lawrence University and the New England Conservatory, she is based in Berlin.
