Second violin

In 2010, Jeanine van Amsterdam (1992) was admitted to the Conservatory of Amsterdam to study with Peter Brunt.

In 2014, she successfully completed her undergraduate studies. Subsequently, she was admitted to the master's program with Vera Beths at the same institute, where she graduated with a 9 in June 2016. In 2015, she completed the Orchestra Academy of the Netherlands Philharmonic. In March 2016, Jeanine won the audition Second violin tutti at the Netherlands Philharmonic, where she plays from season 2016|2017.
Jeanine often performs in chamber music ensembles. She has formed the “Van Amsterdam Duo” with her brother Vincent van Amsterdam (accordion) since 2004. This special and unique combination is also a laureate at several competitions. The duo plays transcriptions and old works by Bach, Vivaldi, Schnittke and Stravinsky, among others, as well as premieres by Dutch composers such as Kortekaas, Van Beurden and Van Gompel. In 2012, the CD "A Flight Beyond the Time ” was released with works by Zubitsky, Corelli and Piazzolla. In April 2016, they released a Russian CD under the label 7 Mountain Records called ' Chanson Russe' .
Jeanine has performed concerts with the Van Amsterdam Duo on various stages domestically, including at the Uitmarkt, Janine Jansen Festival, Grachtenfestival, NJO Muziekzomer and the Emmy Verhey Festival. The duo has also presented frequently abroad, with a tour of Austria and concerts in Serbia and China.
