Kaarin Lehemets

Viool

Kaarin Lehemets grew up in Kadrina, a small town in northern Estonia. She began her violin lessons under the guidance of Tiiu Peäske and has graduated from the Royal College of Music in London in the class of Jan Repko.

She also studied at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with Triin Ruubel and most recently graduated from the Hochschule für Musik Saar in Germany with David Grimal. Additionally, she has taken part in masterclasses with Petru Munteanu, Florian Donderer, Marina Chiche and Tatiana Berman.

As a keen orchestral musician, she has played in Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and several youth orchestras including the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester.

Kaarin plays on a violin named “Bucaneve” made by a Swedish violin maker Per Klinga (Mora, Sweden, 2002).
