Soprano

Praised by Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung for her “outstanding and captivating stage presence” as well as her “radiant voice” german soprano Katharina Ruckgaber was a member of the Frankfurt opera studio from 2014-2016 where she sang her very first Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro.

Since 2017/18 Ms Ruckgaber is a member of Theater Freiburg, where she is singing many important roles including Musetta (La Bohème ), Adele (The Bat) , Zerlina (Don Giovanni) , Mélisande (Pelléas et Mélisande) and Olympia (The Tales of Hofmann) .

Her busy concert schedule has already taken her to Paris to perform with the Orchestre National de France, to recitals with the mdr Symphony Orchestra, to the Konzerthaus Berlin under Iván Fischer, the Gewandhaus Leipzig, the Philharmonie in St. Petersburg, to Moscow, the Cologne Philharmonie and frequently to the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, where in 2022 she sang Aennchen on René Jacob’s Der Freischütz tour with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra.
