Odile Torenbeek

Viola, second associate principal

Odile Torenbeek studied viola at the Hochschule für Musik (Detmold) with Nobuko Imai.

Then the prestigious Fulbright scholarship allowed her to pursue a Master of Music degree at Yale University with Professor Jesse Levine. Odile has worked in many orchestras both in the USA and Germany. She has been a member of the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra since 1996. Chamber music has always been central to her career. She performs in many formations at home and abroad.
