Tessa Badenhoop

First violin

Violinist Tessa Badenhoop studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts, at the conservatories of Düsseldorf and Cologne, and the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam with Alexander Kerr.

She studied chamber music with the Alban Berg Quartet at the Musikhochschule Köln. Tessa Badenhoop won the first prize at the competition “Jugend musiziert". She also won a scholarship at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena. She took master classes with Herman Krebbers, Brandis, Carmigniola, Miriam Fried and Igor Ozim. During her studies she was part of the German National Youth Orchestra, the Gustav Mahler Jugend Orkester, the Kölner Kammerorchester and the Kölner Philharmoniker, among others. Since 2000 she has been associated with the Netherlands Philharmonic as first violinist. She also gives regular concerts with various chamber music ensembles.
