Tijmen Huisingh is first violinist and associate first concertmaster in the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra.

He studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music and completed the prestigious 3-year course 'The international competition preparation course' with Pavel Vernikov in Fiesole, Italy.
Since 2017 he has been primarius of the Edinburgh Quartet, one of the oldest chamber music ensembles in the United Kingdom and is a regular guest concertmaster with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra and English Symphony Orchestra, among others. He is also active as a chamber musician at international festivals such as Schleswig Holstein in Germany, Staunton in the United States, International Chamber Music Festival Utrecht and Stift.
He plays on a violin by Santo Serafin (1750, Venice) and a stick by Caressa & Français, both provided by the National Musical Instruments Fund.
