Generations connected by music

Perhaps you remember the television appearances on KRO with Anton Kersjes, the concerts in the Beurs van Berlage, or the rehearsals in the Jaap Edenhal with Hartmut Haenchen. These are shared memories from the rich history of the Netherlands Philharmonic and the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra.

As a great lover of the Netherlands Philharmonic & Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, you know better than anyone what music can mean in life. That is not something to be taken for granted – which is precisely why the Netherlands Philharmonic & Netherlands Chamber Orchestra is committed to it every day. How special would it be if future generations could continue to experience the magic and power of music? By including the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation in your will, you can help make this possible.

Your legacy can benefit special talent development and education projects such as the Orchestra Academy and Welcome to the Orchestra .

"So many people enjoy the orchestra and the music. It simply has to continue; it must never stop. That's why I'm leaving a legacy to this orchestra."

Rick van Putten, great lover of the orchestra

If you are considering including the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation in your will, there are three options:

  • A bequest: you name the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation as the beneficiary of part of your estate.
  • A legacy: in your will, you stipulate that a fixed amount of money or certain goods will be left to a person or institution. This is called a bequest.
  • A named fund: with a named fund, you can support a specific part of the orchestra, such as talent development or education. You can choose the name of this fund yourself. You can set up a named fund in your will or, if you wish, at an earlier date. The minimum amount for a fund is €50,000. With a named fund, you contribute in a very personal way to the objectives and future of the orchestra.

The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation has ANBI status and is exempt from inheritance tax. This means that your donation will go entirely towards the future of the Netherlands Philharmonic, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra and the generations of classical music lovers who will come after us.Would you like more information about what it means to leave a legacy to our orchestra?
