It's not something you experience every school day: a rehearsal of a real orchestra. During this visit, students learn all about the symphony orchestra or chamber orchestra, the conductor and the music being played. There is an introduction with a musician from the orchestra, to whom all questions may be asked. After the rehearsal, there will be a joint closing.
Rehearsal Visit
For whom: All grade 5 students from Leerorkest schools come for a rehearsal visit. Classes from other schools (grades 5 through 8) we are happy to host, with the caveat that it fits into the orchestra's schedule. Please contact us about this.

Where: NedPhO Dome, Batjanstraat 3, 1094 RC Amsterdam
Cost: € 75,00 per group of up to 25 students. A maximum of 2 groups can participate
Duration: two hours, almost always from 9:00 to 11:00

Preparation
A rehearsal visit is most enjoyable when students are well prepared. For this purpose, we have developed teaching materials. In these lessons (consisting of five chapters), among other things, we clarify the difference between the different instrument families and talk about the role of the conductor.
