At almost every concert you can attend an introductory program prior to the concert. The form varies: there is an introduction to the works played, there is an interview with the conductor, soloist or composer, or there are orchestra members who come to tell something, often with an instrument. The introductions are free of charge and always begin half an hour before the start of the concert.
Music Lectures
At some concerts throughout the season a music lecture is organized, in our own NedPhO Dome. Musicologist Kees Wisse has a treasure chest full of knowledge about music and gives fascinating music lectures focused on the specific concerts. Composers and their work are examined in more detail. The lecture is a good preparation for the concert and is easy to follow for anyone with a love of music.
