Will you come to a Public Rehearsal or Dome concert in March? In the foyer of the NedPhO Dome, home of the Netherlands Philharmonic & Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, the exhibition Growing in Happiness by EC-O is now on display. EC-O is an educational center for adults.
In this photo exhibition, fifteen EC-O students are portrayed at the beginning of their education and after their first year. Since 2021 EC-O offers free MBO training and support for adults without a diploma who want to get ahead. The courses can be followed while retaining any benefits. Every year, EC-O sees up close how an education can transform someone. People grow not only in knowledge and skills, but also in happiness.
EC-O and the Netherlands Philharmonic & Netherlands Chamber Orchestra have been working together for some time in the context of cultural education. By now a tradition has developed in which the orchestra invites EC-O students annually to a rehearsal in the NedPhO Dome and a performance of Netherlands Philharmonic & Dutch Chamber Orchestra in The Concertgebouw. In this way, many students are introduced to live classical music for the first time.
