Contribute to the magic of our orchestra

The Netherlands Philharmonic is launching a crowdfunding campaign to purchase a new harp for solo harpist Sandrine Chatron. Her current instrument, which she has been playing since 2009, is in need of replacement after years of intensive use and no longer meets the orchestra's high artistic standards.

For world-class musicians, top-quality instruments are indispensable. They determine the timbre, expression, and magic that characterize the orchestra. The harp plays a special role in this: from velvety soft accents to radiant solos. To guarantee this quality, a new harp is necessary.

However, the purchase of a professional instrument requires a considerable investment. The orchestra is contributing itself, but still needs €50,000 to be able to purchase the new harp. That is why the public is being called upon to make a contribution. Every donation helps to preserve the unique sound of the harp within the orchestra.
