Netherlands Philharmonic & Netherlands Chamber Orchestra
As partners under the NedPho Dome, the Netherlands Philharmonic & Netherlands Chamber Orchestra are united in their versatility, accessibility and love of opera, both at home in the Koninklijk Concertgebouw, as well as further afield, in Rotterdam, Vienna and Paris. While the symphony orchestra excels in the styles of the late Romantic and early twentieth century, the chamber orchestra is skilled in the oeuvres of Bach, Mozart and Haydn. Together, the two orchestras form the beating heart of the National Opera. We are not afraid to experiment, and are constantly searching for new ways to make classical music more accessible for all. Alongside the educational initiatives we support, our orchestra forms a community that brings together musicians and audiences of different ages and from different backgrounds. We are proud of our versatility, creativity and international partnerships, and our home base, the NedPhO- Koepel, is the setting where the past, present and future of classical music come together.
