Netherlands Philharmonic
From Mahler symphonies and Puccini operas to world premieres of works by young composers – they’re all brought to life by the Netherlands Philharmonic. The orchestra excels in the styles of the late Romantic and early twentieth century, both at home in the Koninklijk Concertgebouw, and further afield, in Rotterdam, Vienna and Paris. What distinguishes us from other Dutch orchestras is our unique partnership with the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra and close ties with the National Opera. Our orchestra members are appealingly diverse in terms of age and nationality. Together we seek to make classical music accessible for all, through a broad range of educational projects, and performances in new, unconventional locations. Based in the historic NedPhO- Koepel in Amsterdam East, the Netherlands Philharmonic provides a vibrant artistic setting that challenges everyone to transcend their musical boundaries.
