Netherlands Chamber Orchestra
Under the inspiring musical leadership of Gordan Nikolić, directing from the first lectern, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra combines the rich tradition of classical music with a dynamic, free approach to performances. Besides our established partnership with the National Opera, we distinguish ourselves by bringing centuries-old works to life with a contemporary energy unlike that of other Dutch orchestras. In addition to classical works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and Haydn – the heart of our repertoire – we also play a key role in supporting young composers, performing world premieres of their work each season. We seek to make classical music accessible for all, through educational projects, and performances in new, unconventional locations. Based in the historic NedPhO- Koepel in Amsterdam East, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra provides a vibrant artistic setting that challenges everyone to transcend their musical boundaries.
