Being part of the Netherlands Philharmonic & Netherlands Chamber Orchestra

The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra accompany most productions of the Dutch National Opera and are regular performers at The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Each year, the orchestras reach approximately 190,000 visitors. The organization is based in the NedPhO Dome in Amsterdam East.

String players hold a permanent position in one of the two orchestras. Wind players, timpanists, percussionists, and harpists perform with both the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, depending on the required instrumentation for opera or concert performances.
